Are you ready yet?
They did it! You did it! All those late night homework sessions, early morning practices, and driving around all over town like it's your full time job. It's coming to an end and soon your senior will be off on their next adventure. They'll be making a life of their own and I know it feels bittersweet for everyone. My goal with senior sessions is always to give a big variety of images that both Mom and graduate will love. Some where they look fully adult like they stepped out of a magazine, and others where you see the deep belly laugh smiling face of the kid you've always known. I encourage parents to attend the session as well so I can snap a few shots of you together at the end. They're only celebrating this milestone once so let's capture stunning portraits of them that you will cherish forever.

Featured images
You have one foot stepped into adulthood so I don't ever want to give you images that make you feel too young. My posing for seniors is always age appropriate and never too cutesy or childish. On that note I don't recommend bringing props to your session. It can be very tough to incorporate these in a way that doesn't feel cheesy. But if you have an idea in mind run it past me!
No little kid stuff
The best images come when you are moving around and staying in the flow of the shoot. I never want you to look or feel stiff and posed! I'll give you lots of posing guidance and direction so you'll never be left wondering what to do and by the end of the session we'll have images that are perfect for both you grad announcements and your social media.

Be prepared to
You can have as much variety as you want in this session! I usually recommend 2 or 3 different outfits and choosing a location that has a few different looks. Your final collection will have a wide range of composition and styles ranging from editorial, fine art, candid and classic portraiture.

ALEX IS LITERALLY INCREDIBLE. I’ve always considered myself a non-photogenic person and also someone who’s pretty self conscious, and Alex had me forgetting both of those things in the first 5 minutes of shooting. She will have you laughing and feeling SO good about yourself the entire time. After my shoot, all I could think about was how amazing Alex was, and I hadn’t even seen any of the photos. AND THEN I GOT THE PHOTOS AND LOVED HER EVEN MORE. I cannot recommend her enough. She’s the best!
